Sweet Hay

I couldn't pass this one up. These two thoughts tie in. Be patient:

#1 The girls and I sang in church on Sunday. We sang "Away in a Manger". Krispy was in our group just for the cute factor. Although she did hum most of the time.

#2 My Christmas project has been clay Nativities. (Don't worry family, yours is on the way.) ANYWAY, Krispy wanted to 'help' me. She made a big sister for Jesus and a sheep and Jesus. She also made a manger. Then she remarked that she needed to make some "sweet hay" for Jesus to lay on.

Kristen's version of Away in a Manger:

Away in a Manger, no crib for his bed, the little Lord, Jesus lay down (on) 'sweet hay'...

We made some sweet hay for Jesus (somewhat hidden in the picture).

Curse you anonymous. She will have to live vicariously through her clay play.

The "older sister" looks like she should belong on Star War or something like that. She looks like a mean older sister.

That is sweet! Funny what kids hear in familiar songs. Tell mom Kristen can play big sister to Kay's baby ... boy??
